Sunsets and Beaches

We've had a pretty uneventful end of our week.  Wednesday and Thursday were spend at the pool and walking on the beach.

Happy hour at the pool after our LONG walk!!!!!

Casey seems to have a fascination with the birds and weird little creatures washed up on shore.

The sunsets have been absolutely beautiful!  It is amazing to go out each night, walk the beach, watch the sun set and still want to do it again the next day - even though it is really the same thing.

Friday was a rainy day so we went shopping!  After a full day of shopping (2 malls), we went to the Cajun Cafe on the Bayou for dinner.  WOW!!!!!!!  It was so good.  We had crawfish cornbread to start with.  Casey had the crabcake dinner and I had shrimp creole.  Super spicy!  We are looking forward to eating lots of cajun food when we get to New Orleans!!!!!!

On Saturday, we took the Suncoast Beach Trolley to Clearwater to see the famous beach and Pier 60.

The beach was quite beautiful, but seemed very touristy to us.  Sort of a Daytona Beach/Grand Bend kind of feel to it.  We walked up and down the strip for a while.

This left us thirsty - hard to believe!  So, we had to stop to re-hydrate!

Time to go find some dinner!  Hopped back on the Trolley and headed down to Treasure Island to go to Sloppy Joe's for dinner.  This is a really neat place right on the beach.  We both had blackened grouper for dinner.  YUMMY!!!!!!  Great views of the sunset (again!).  There was a wedding taking place on the beach as well.  Pretty cool!

Today we will rest!  Sit by the pool and get some sun.  The week ahead looks amazing in terms of weather so we will most likely just hang out by the pool and do lots of beach walks.  No outings planned!  So, probably won't bore anyone with more sunset pics for quite a while - unless it is spectacular!
